Extra Credit Explorer Final Activity

You have completed your written report!

Now create something to accompany your written work. You can:

§ Create a poster with route maps, pictures, and important information about your explorer.
§ Construct a diorama showing a scene about your explorer. It can be their boat or a scene from their explorations in the New World.
§ Dress in character and answer 5 questions (you make the questions) as your explorer.
§ Compose 10 journal entries as your explorer on his journey or imagine the life of a sailor on the explorer’s ship. Bind these 10 journal entries together to turn in.

Any extra credit projects are due before winter break, December 21st.

WRITING: We had lots of workshop time today to work on paragraphs. Most students have them done and just need to recopy for the rough draft. Many students also chose to use their time very poorly today. So I am asking that the 3 paragraphs answering the 3 research questions be written out in a rough draft format by tomorrow. At that time we will work on the introduction and closing paragraph. If your student has been absent, we will or have made another plan together.
