We started our Writer's Workshop Today!

Tonight's homework:

Boys: If you didn't finish the social studies fill in the blank then you must complete it for homework.

MATH: Millions and Billions Worksheet

READING: Complete Chapter 1 of "The Sign of the Beaver"

SPELLING: Optional. Check the spelling homework options attached to last week's newsletter.

Today we began our writerly lives by focusing on small moments. A small moment is just a short event or thought, usually a few sentences. Students can write quick entries and then go back and expand ideas into long stories later. We are always looking for inspiration.

See you tomorrow,
Mrs. Cahill

If you don't see a posting for today please click on the August link to the left.

During class today we discussed appropriate behavior in class and in the school. Please take this opportunity to talk to your student about how to show respect in their actions. There is no homework this Friday. It is my policy not to assign homework over weekends unless it is a long term project. So enjoy your weekend and see you on Monday.
